Spring!

So i just switched my site over to this format. I’ve wanted to do it for a while and finally got around to it. I am still adding content to it, so if something is missing it will be here soon. Hopefully it will be much quicker to update the site.

I have been pretty busy lately. I am currently working pre-production on a music video for Fleet Foxes! Stay tuned for some more updates as we get into production. I am flying back to Seattle on Thursday to start production on it.

Matt Smithson and I just started a small art and film collective called Pickles to showcase the work of our friends and us, and we hope to also incorporate a short film night as well. We are almost done with a collaborative animation project possibly for the new Pitchfork.tv site.

The spring time in New York has been amazing, 65 degrees everyday. I was a runner up for the new animator category at the First Boards Awards a couple weeks ago. I feel honored to have been mentioned among such other talented animators. Congrats to Jong Jin Choi of The Mill, NY for winning first place.

And The Strange Hunger, a little animated film that is nearly complete, just got accepted to the 2008 Seattle International Film Festival! I just recorded the narration with a friend from Iceland Loa, who is in a lovely band called FM Belfast and it sounds really nice.
